Police have arrested a 64-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder after he stabbed another man in his 20s on Sunday night in Tokyo's Asakusa area.

According to police, the incident occurred at around 9:20 p.m. at Tobu Asakusa station in Taito Ward. The suspect, whose name has been withheld, approached the younger man and began stabbing him in the stomach and other parts of his body, Sankei Shimbun reported.

The victim suffered several wounds and was taken to a hospital, but his condition is not life-threatening.

The suspect was quoted by police as saying that he didn’t know the name of the (younger) man, but he “was angry” and chose him at random to stab.

Some of the less forgetful CE users may realize this is the second time in Asakusa in quick succession that someone was stabbed by a complete stranger.

Last time the guy died. Thankfully this victim survived.

But Jesus Christ Tokyo sort your shit out. Random stabbings can not become a trend. just imagine it was your family or girlfriend or dog who was stabbed for no reason by a complete stranger?

It would be harrowing.
