Why? @3rd_Best_Master My guess is that the amount of taxpayer money wasted on his many golf trips vastly eclipses the relatively small presidential salary. He's staying at his own hotel though... Oh cool, so the taxpayer money spent on housing him and the secret service goes back to his family. Do you really think he spends money to stay at his OWN hotel? Do you really think it doesn't cost anything to taxpayers to house the president at a previously unsecured location? Are you daft? Donating his salary - while the right thing to do - is so small a thing it hardly deserves a pat on the back. You wouldn't expect high praise because you dropped your spare 5c into the tip jar when buying a coffee.
