The second pic looks like he closed his eyes and put on the first things he grabbed. And his pants don't seem long enough. That's kind of the point. But it's done with a subtle respect for colour and balance. The pants fit just right everywhere that matters, what you're looking at is someone deliberately going for a no-break look. Not for everyone, but not a mistake.
