That was...quite an opinion. I can see the argument, maybe, but I don't agree with it. Giving a potential suicidee something to bond with is almost always a good thing. Unless that something is drugs, particularly depressants.

I think that people who hold that sort of opinion tend to think "Oh you're depressed because you listen to depressing songs to make yourself depressed" instead of "Oh, you're listening to that song because you're depressed and it validates your feelings and allows you to cope and express them in a healthy way"

I've tried listening to happy songs when I'm depressed or sad and the feeling is a lot like pouring water on a grease fire.
