It's a high school time, those are infamous for being inflated. One guy at my high school ran a 4.2 for pete's sake (even then I didn't believe it)


true, electronically measured 5.2s often become 4.5s when done by hand.

We didn't run 40s at my school, we ran 20s. Electronically timed fastest kid in the school was a 2.4 something, I was typically 2.60-2.70. Hand timed I was consistently around a 2.3.

20s maybe better, though honestly 10s are probably the best as most coaches say that pretty much gives away your 40


i think the sole rationale for us doing 20s was because we had line on the gym floor that was exactly 20m.
