I may seem like a broken record throwing out the same words, but the game is funny, charming, has that robust timing-based battle system, and has no need for grinding. While it doesn't reach the heights of future games in the series that have unique hooks and excellent dual-screen functionality, the game succeeded in its smaller focus and doesn't reach the lows of Partners in Time, Dream Team, or Paper Jam.
