Jamie Bruesehoff, a CHRISTIAN Mother from New jersey and her PASTOR Husband, Christopher have ACCEPTED and Supported their now 10 y/o TRANSGENDER Daughter Rebekah as she's been transitioning she she was 2 years old!!

They feared for her "mental health" after living as a boy left her deeply unhappy and now they have made it their mission to spread awareness of transgender issues from their own experience.

Since transitioning, Rebekah has been campaigning, attending marches and speaking at rallies to stand up for trans rights.

Jamie and her husband have supported Rebekah, who was born "Ben" in her transition.

She said "Rebekah has always been gender non-comforming. As young as two or three, she gravitated to typically feminine things"

As the years gone by, her gender non-conformity intensified and she began to search for her identity.

Jamie said that when Rebekah was 7, she was at an all time high crisis point and her anxiety was crippling and depression was life threatening and said she even contemplated SUICIDE as Rebekah tried to punch through a second story window and tried to jump out!!

But with the advice of a family doctor and counsellor, they were able to help their eldest son and with a gender specialist, Rebekah felt more comfortable as a girl after realizing she wasn't a boy who liked pink but was a girl who liked pink.

Rebekah says "I want to make a difference in the world by speaking out and spreading hopeful messages. I want to send the message of "you are not alone and you are safe" to other transgender kids"

The family was flooded with positive messages stating they are brave after a picture of Rebekah went viral that said "I'm the scary transgender person the media warned you about"

Rebekah says she feels happy and she is definitely a girl and she knows in her heart and in her head that that is who she is..

Would you accept someone who tells you they are transgender (blood relative or friend?)
