Being accepting is good and I'd support anyone... but this sounds like a case of parents preferring a girl and making it happen. Yes, the parents should be arrested for child abuse. Doing a quick look on the actual article, "transitioning since she was 2" is misleading, as it's referring to the child preferring feminine things from an early age and not to any sort of transition. No actual consideration of transitioning was considered until she was 7, attempted suicide, and they sought consoling. And actual process of transition consists of reversible puberty blockers, and no irreversible surgery until she's at least 18 and can make an informed decision. Unless you want to be outraged over the transgender concept itself, I don't really see anything wrong with the process the family is using, as it appears to be the recommended process for children. The idea of liking feminine things meaning you want gender re-assignment is kind of a ridiculous idea.
