Hyphyyyyyy Pressing both hands on top of the scorpion, Ren tries to suppress the tattoo. The scorpion whispers maliciously in his ear, telling him to get out of the way, but Ren's having none of that. The scorpion tries to tear Ren's right hand apart with its claws, but Marie's soul holds firm. Once an opportunity presents itself, he focuses and issues a single command. "Sleep!" And thus subdued, the scorpion ceases its attacks on Kei. Slowly, her breathing settles down. With that, Ren considers his debt to her to be repaid. There'll probably be a scuffle when she wakes up, but that can wait. For now, he wraps the blankets around them both and goes to sleep. It can wait until morning.
