America is less welcoming, no longer seen as a shining city on a hill, and though i can't speak to the strength Mexican economy, there are likely forces in play there.


Mexico is an emerging economy and is seen as following in the footsteps of China/India/Brazil (though due to their population they won't be a major powerhouse) given the cultural similarities it isn't shocking that Central Americans are beginning to stay there.

Then there we go. Incentives to stay and disincentives to leave (more regarding SZero's post than anything from the government) results in fewer people leaving. Crazy!
