I didn't even know about the show period till CE made me aware of it. From the sound of it, it is based around a what if scenario where the confederacy didn't lose the civil war. I mean, regardless of how it portrays slavery, it is rewriting history. Yes and there is nothing wrong with that. It's called Alternate History. It's a legit genre.
