I've seen at least a dozen apologies ("I'm so sorry this happened to you") to both the women who've released screenshots, and literally nothing in those screenshots seems weird to me.
Cheesy? Sure, but "sexual harassment"? Holy fuck, that's scary if his messages read as harassment to you.
Now that I have you with me for a second, what if I told you that the end goal of shit like this is to terrify low status males out of making any kind of sexual advances.
Like there's a long game at play here where the definition of "sexual harassment" is shifting from actual harassment to "any sort of thing that makes me feel remotely uncomfortable."
If you can buy that people are willingly seeing these cheesy, stupid messages as sexual harassment, maybe you can see how insidious the reasoning behind it is.
I don't agree that that's the goal, more of a side effect. And while from the first minute I've been speaking my displeasure, I don't really know what the solution is? ---
