I notice there is very high amount of French and Japanese collaboration and appreciation, and it's something that has happen for centuries. IE

*Ubisoft always supporting nintendo as much as posible, easter eggs for metal gear and assasine's creed etc.

*tons of animation colaborations such as the red turtle movie, Ulyses 31, thera, oban star racers Spartacus etc.

*Nisan and Renault alliance, Japan and France making an Aliance to invest in Africa

*During the 1800's both countries artists loved each other's art whit Japonism in france and french impressionism in Japan.

*France is the second largest market for anime and manga after Japan. in 2014 it was even bigger than far more populated countries like America and China

*HUGE amounts for Japanese restaurants in Paris and huge amounts of french restaurants in Tokyo(I have been in both)

So I'm curious, what caused these 2 countries to like each other so much?
