Im torn here because i think this season has been way too on the nose in its attempts to deal with 'serious' subject matter and yet at the same time i am CRINGING at all the man children blaming 'sjws' for it.

Like they literally beat up nazis in a previous season; what made you think it was ever not a '''''sjw''''' show

The gazorpazorp episode did rip on women a good bit, wouldn't be surprised if that was at the top of many fans' list.

For me, I look at it as the first two seasons they were in the world-building phase. They did a great job of it. Now that the world is set up, I think they're having trouble, or maybe just being lazy, with using the established world to tell stories.

Like, they've been so over the top with gore and nihilism this season thus far, seems like they've embraced that identity and went on auto-pilot. Harmon's divorce and the divorce of Beth and Jerry and the effects on the family seem to be the focal point of episodes 2+3. And then this episode was just "superhero movies are dumb and this is why. Let's throw in some gore and some drunk Rick and some cynical Morty and you've got an episode".

There's really no new concepts they've played around with, other than S3 E1 with the brainalyzer and taking down the council and the galactic government, and even that was set up by the previous season. The love just doesn't feel like it's there anymore.
