The PS3 originally played PS2 games remember? And no one cares so Sony scrapped the feature. I mean it adds up. If people really wanted to keep playing their older games forever. They would be PC gamers. The sheer fact they spend a fortune buying brand new consoles and games every few years routinely shows that they like to move on. Especially now multiplayer is so huge. Sure we the berks who post on Gamefaqs care about old games, but average Joe? He's already forgotten about The Division and you think he remembers Genji: Days of the Blade? People on mass really don't care about the past.
