When push comes to shove, people would realize that being in a war is, ya know, difficult. They'd rather go back to their humdrum life than have to actually struggle.

I feel like folks in our age group somewhat romanticize, or downplay, the ramifications of wartime for some reason. Maybe it's because we haven't really experienced something of that magnitude of displacement within our borders and instead shipped people off to fight abroad.

I'm suspicious we're ever going to have an actual war again, let alone a civil war. Let's be honest, for as many problems as we have in this country - we have it really fucking easy. Even the homeless have cell phones and laptops.

We're a generation of pampered assholes. If I have the option to go out and fight my neighbor because he's moderately annoying or just sit at home and continue playing video games, I'm probably gonna stick with the video games. You couldn't convince enough people to give up their lives to go fight a stupid war because they don't like Trump/Hillary/whoever.
