That's his choice, ya know? Dude's probably depressed, or at least got very shaken after that incident. He was well known for making videos where he tears apart bad movies/games. Then the majority of the online community around him (including Playtonic games) turned on him when he was goaded into taking a bad stance in a political discussion (politics being something he was NEVER known for). Like think about that for a minute. He said something controversial, and a whole company made up of people that were his heroes growing up turned against him, while the few people defending him were mostly alt-right lunatics.
