How about we stop appeasing the racists and just continue to tear down their iconography while also erecting statues to honor the people that confederates fought to keep in bondage. Best of both worlds. I enjoy the tears people shed over confederate statues getting removed but I would also get a kick out of people freaking out about black statues being erected right beside it ...
