Assuming you have the cash can't you just outright buy one from your provider or an unlocked from a third party vendor? T-Mobile is selling it ta $930 and I know with T-Mobile they no longer have contracts for their services. Hell, you can even pay for the the $930 (without tax) over 24 hours and pay zero interest with T-Mobile.
