You mean he would've died to the white walkers Of course you can present LF as a master if you ignore all the other elements in the show. He was originally impressive because he was able to navigate this super complex system of politics far better and more deeply than anyone, with only Varys really competing. He touched north south eat AND west. But now there's only like 3 elements in the show, and he can't even deal with 1 of them competently. It was not bad luck or anything that got him.
