Topic	Why were cars in the 80s so damn ugly?

I mean you'd be hard pressed to find any decade where the highest end of cars weren't at least able to passably hold up, which like I said even with cars like the F40 and Countach (sp?) they don't really look that great by today's standards and compared to significantly cheaper cars in previous and following decades. Even look at cars that are still in the obtainable but generally attractive like the muscle cars, the 80's Mustang for example. Compare it to a 60's first gen and a new current gen.
