I really do like the look of the 458 too though. Yes the whole modern MR supercar is getting to be a very played out look the proportions of the 458 seem to just do it for me. Whenever I played Forza or GT it and the F40 are actually the two Ferraris I'm always drawn to wanting to drive. The late 60s early 70s designs were definitely innovative as fuck but they just don't have that WOW factor imo.

I'm the same. The big difference is how the Ferrari's of the 80's just drive a lot better than the Ferrari's of the 70's and 60's. I mean the 250's are amazing but they are always incredibly expensive even in video games and are just an old fashioned FR grand touring sort of supercar.

The F40 stands out to me as a very unique beast, a bare basic supercar with high-end modern materials built in a way they only could have back when it was made. It redefined the standards for what a supercar could be.

That said I just think most road going Ferrari's from the BB on feel like the start of when Ferreri's entered the category of what we think of when we imagine a modern supercar. It's when they really started to focus on MR road cars, you can feel the change in design philosophy.
