Perhaps this story illustrates a type of problem endemic in households that share hardline Islamic views (and yes, other religions) which are foster or regular families. I hardly expect this case and the example of these people to be 'one offs'. Simply put, no child should be exposed to such a toxic religious environment. Islam is what it is, but that shouldn't be an excuse.
