Although it seems he hasn't been as good this year as I thought, is this the Cardinals basically giving up on the season? Did he clear waivers before they went on their big win streak or something? And what does this mean for Stanton; could a team still acquire him, or could the Marlins take back the waivers now that they've closed the WC gap a bit?
