Seafaring technology didn't improve because of Columbus. Many more explorers made actual discovers surrounding the New World other than merely being the first to report back. What Columbus "accomplished" would have easily been accomplished by someone else with enough time.
Enough with this liberal bullshit. It's unlikely that the landmass of America would even exist in any capacity without Columbus
