I will now give CE grades on its cultural literacy.
TV - B+ Films / movies - D Books - D Video games - B+ Music - C+ Theatre - F Poetry - D
This is disgraceful. For 2 or 3 years, now, I've been angry at the lack of culutral knowledge on CE, and how they don't like people who have knowledge of these things. Really, though, CE is really bad. I mean, a D for films and movies, a D for poetry. They don't mind, though. To them, it's just catching the latest TV series their friends are talking about, or watching a popcorn flick with famous actors and actresses, and lots of CGI. I know that the average person in society (heh) is fairly bad, but CE seems especially ignorant of culture, which is surprising for people mostly between the ages of 18 and 35. I know people will, well, not so much disagree with this topic, as question its premise, i.e. does culutre matter?, and I'll get trolled, but I still want to know what people will think.
