Those dudes didn't have to pay up the ass for a hut, and food.

The cost of living has significantly increased in the last couple decades, yet the wages have largely been stagnant.

I live in MAssachussets which has the 5th highest cost of living in the country. It has a high minimum wage of 11 dollars, yet the cost of living is so high, that you'd have to work 87 hours a week to afford housing without paying more than a third of what you make on rent.
