Most of the other divisions are along philosophical lines, whether they sing for communism, or environmentalism. And metal is just maniacs that burn churches and sing about national socialism... and environmentalism. :p I don't believe this. But hyperboles are hyperboles. I used to be the sort of dude that thought punk wasn't varied... But then I got into it and found it there's a hell of a lot of variety even within the same subgenre. Discharge's Hear Nothing See Nothing Say Nothing, GISM's Detestation, Bad Brain's self-titled, and Negative Approach's Tied Down are all hardcore punk records...
