Who made the topic?

It's clearly not just my feelings. No one debates over who is a boomer and who is gen x beyond those on the boundaries.

Yet millennials people do because the use doesn't match definition.

The point of the topic is to point out how stupid it is to assign vague personality traits to an entire population of people born in a 30 year timespan and then only selectively use that definition whenever it suits, but never when it doesn't.

When someone becomes a successful entrepreneur, they're not called a millenial. When they join the army or get a career in finance or buy a home they're not called a millenial. But they go out for avocado toast and struggle to get a career going by their 30s and suddenly it's everything wrong with young people today.

And yeah, it is stupid to assign the same way of thinking to boomers and gen x, but it's not boomers and gen x that are in the news every day at the moment with a new "here's another thing they're ruining" article.
