It's a huge ask and when TC is saying his wife is depressed I doubt his line of thinking where he might not wanna stick around is helping. He can leave if he wants, but I'm pretty sure being supportive would help. He should exercise with her, cook healthy meals for two, etc, etc. All she has to do is commit. I'll be everything she needs. But she hasn't committed yet. She's addicted to carbs, butter and salt. She's gonna have to make some hard changes and unless she's in it to win it I don't want to waste my time.
