I'd assume pewdiepie simply doesn't have any legitimate feeling of revulsion towards the n-word-- he has to "fake it" because he didn't grow up in a culture where it mattered or where the significance of it mattering was hammered into his head, and has these 14 year olds around him saying it all the time. This doesn't make him a racist, it just makes him someone who didn't grow up in a culture where the word mattered in any meaningful way, corrupted by 14 year olds before he had any intimate feeling that the word was something that shouldn't be said.

It basically comes down to association. He hears the word, he thinks "stupid 14 year old" not "stupid racist 14 year old." That doesn't mean he's racist, that just means he was exposed to it on a large scale through stupid 14 year olds before he really absorbed the impact of the word.

No, this doesn't really fly. If he knows he has to "fake it" since he doesn't feel revulsion to it personally, then he knows WHY he has to fake it. And if he knows WHY he has to fake it, then his mind is already differentiating between n word and "asshole." Thus, they're not the same to him anymore, since he's making a differentiation of "I can say this but not this on stream." Him slipping up when faking it means he doesn't fake it when he's not on stream, which means... Despite knowing why he shouldn't say the word, he doesn't care and says it anyway.
