I just don't really see why it would, sexuality isn't like automatically contingent on your gender - there's a decent chance that it would change your perspectives but I don't see why it would be immediate, that's like saying if you turned into a woman you would automatically want to wear dresses or you would automatically enjoy chick flicks. Doesn't really follow as far as I'm concerned, and it probably wouldn't be shocking unless you've really psyched yourself up to be shocked by it (in which case, I would probably recommend against the gender switch) Of course they can, but for most straight people I imagine they've never had to before, so this situation would be something entirely new for them.
