Article says they paid about 465 million to make Lotr season 1

In 2020, they had 150 million paid subscribers to prime
It was about $15 to sub

That means subscriptions alone generated 2.25 billion

as a whole they net 33 billion based on article below

Oh but I am sure they needed to raise more money because the show cost too much to make!
