I don't think EN fans are nearly as anal about girls collabing with guys. Because of the way Twitch is and whatnot, generally guy streamers are bigger there, and the major girl streamers frequently join popular male streamers' shows and whatnot.

But on the JP side, it's getting less toxic by the day but on a snail's pace. I still remember the time Watame had to publicly apologize for just talking about how she said hi to a Holostar member she ran into in their office. It's so stupid and completely understandable why Stars were generally dissuaded from collabing with girls ever.

I just hope Holo actually has a strategy in mind. I feel like NijiEN boys just went for the pretty boys/otome game style market. Them being mostly British probably helped a bit with the appeal. No clue why China loves them that much, but it could also be a byproduct of them jumping ship off Holo
