I mean that is literally the law. You don't get to kill someone, through your intentional actions, and then just act like it's no big deal. If you push someone it's assault and battery. If they die from you pushing them then it's manslaughter or whatever equivalent charge depending on where you are.

I'm not saying the old dude didn't deserve to get hit. But the fact is he died because of it. Prison time is deserved. I don't think he should get a decade in prison, but to basically get none at all for killing someone is ridiculous. I know everyone here will make excuses and deny it, but everyone here knows if the roles were reversed they would be screaming for the guy to be locked up. I mean hell, look at CE and cops. There was a story about a cop who shot and killed a guy while being actively fired at by that very same guy and CE was demanding the cop be charged with murder and go to prison.

Well you're wrong. The law is clearly more complex than you think it is otherwise this guy would be in jail.
