I have no idea what to level up and the amount of different systems in the game (and crap I collect with no descriptions unless going in the menu) is a bit overwhelming. I started as a Vanguard because I heard it was the most noob friendly. Mainly focusing on vigor, strength and endurance. Apparently dexterity is better for faster weapons though? I like faster weapons. But I just got this shiny new golden halberd I gotta have 30 strength to use properly, so strength it is.

Golden Halberd is a fairly slow weapon, so I'm not sure you'll be into it, but maybe you will be! By the way, you can't still equip weapons you don't have the stats to use; they're just weaker. You can equip it and try swinging it around to see how it feels if you like.
