So when I SOS hunt, I actually have 2 3DSs going. On this OG red 3DS I have Sun, and I have a blue 3DS XL with Ultra Moon. So tonight on Sun I caught a shiny Bruxish and the shiny Mimikyu. On Ultra Moon I hunted for shiny Exeggcute and didn't get it. I do the Harvest with Leppa Berry method.

1) Encounter the Pokemon you want to hunt for.
2) Use Skill Swap to give the Pokemon the ability Harvest
3) Use Trick or Bestow to give the Pokemon a Leppa Berry
4) False Swipe it to 1 HP
5) Use an Adrenaline Orb
6) Keep knocking out the Pokemon it calls until the shiny spawns

I use Trevenants at the front of my team in both games since they have Harvest as their hidden ability, and they can learn Skill Swap and Trick/Bestow

I also have Octillerys on my teams to use Soak in case I'm hunting a Ghost type. Then whatever will help me hunt fast.
