But a bigger thing to keep in mind is that it's even worse than it seems. 10 years ago the delay on the board was 3 days before topics got deleted, now they stick around for 11 days. So most of those pages now are threads that haven't been posted in for awhile and likely won't be posted in again, so are effectively dead anyway.

We've basically gone from having something like 1000+ active topics every three days to having maybe 300 topics every two weeks that are mostly inactive.
