I will never understand console people and their base systems and pro versions and all that. Yeah a PC is more upfront but if you get decent parts it will literally play everything decent enough for 10+ years before you start to see performance issues.

Yeah, the notion of generation splitting seems silly to me. You either end up with a large chunk of the system's install base being unable to play games that are exclusive to the "pro" version (or stuck playing versions that aren't worth playing), or you end up paying a large amount for a pretty minor upgrade in performance (if developers even decide it's worthwhile to bother adding improvements to their games, which they may not if the "pro" version doesn't take off quickly enough). In practice, enough people are happy paying for that minor upgrade that the practice continues, but it's not particularly beneficial for consumers.

Im still waiting for switch pro nintendo in 4k

I wouldn't hold your breath. That would be a very significant upgrade that would dramatically increase the cost of the system and probably force a full redesign that would kill the portability, while offering little to no benefits for existing games and creating too much of a gap for it to be worthwhile to develop new games with it in mind (especially given the huge install base of the base Switch). I expect OLED to be the last Switch revision we see. Any other console release Nintendo announces is probably going to be a new generation.

Wheres my Switch Pro with Mario Kart 9 and BotW2? D:

I'm expecting BotW2 news at E3, either with a holiday 2022 release or announcing that they'll pull a TP/BotW and release it for both Switch and a successor system that they announce at the same time (possibly coming next year, given Nintendo's recent track record of announcing stuff relatively close to its release). Given what a high-profile title it is, I doubt they would make it require a half-generation upgrade. MK9 probably won't happen until said successor system, given that they just started rolling out a buttload of DLC tracks for 8.
