actually this is where i think elden ring got it right. you don't start out barely able to kill stuff.

I've beaten half the souls games and I still suck. Or rather the big stuff kills me and humans die without putting up any fight whatsoever. The windups and the timing of things with the "hard" enemies are harder to predict than in the other games imo.
