It is not completely out of the realm of possibility. Nintendo usually releases a new console every 5-7 years, and it will be 6 years since the Switch came out in Spring of 2023.
That said, yea, probably not. More likely it comes out holiday 2023 or sometime in 2024.

Barely more than a month ago the president of Nintendo said the Switch is halfway through its life cycle. They might do a relatively significant hardware revision by 2024 but anything more than hinting at a successor is not going to happen. The Switch is still selling like crazy and its first-party software is selling like crazy (Mario Kart 8 has sold like 45 million copies or something absurd). As obsessed with "4K Switch" as the games media is it just doesn't make sense for Nintendo to try and rush the console generation when everyone else already got away with like 10+ years of their previous hardware (which are still by-and-large getting a lot of cross-platform releases).

I did say Holidays of 2023...
Why would BotW2 only be on shelves "a couple of weeks" if that were the case? Unless you meant "a year". Obviously I still disagree with either phrasing.
