It looks like there is going to be a strategic layer when you get armies and provinces, but the easiest way to win is to just run around as a ninja and kill all the other leaders. It is pretty much just a glorified action game Centurion Defender of Rome had very little strategy as well. Pretty much make a bunch of money in the Circus Maximus then steam roll the barbarians with your massive army that you made from your gambling proceeds.
