Topic	Why do racist people call both Indians and Native Americans Indians?

So I guess they didn't have a name for themselves, or the land mass they were on, and they're still called Indians today because that's the only name they ever had. Which do you think is more likely: That no group of American natives actually had names for themselves or their homes, or that the random primary school teacher you had just didn't know the answer or meant "there was no collective term" and you were too young and naive to pick up on that? --- This is my signature.
