Topic | Do you tip when you pick up to go? |
Straughan 04/27/22 2:47:41 PM #11: | They started that shit during Covid or just after here. I looked some goober in the face and was like, "People are really tipping people for checking them out? That used to be a thing at the sushi bar at Koto's back in '03 but that was special." He was like, I guess they did it to help with wages. And I said, "Look buddy, I'll tell you like I tell my barber. I'll give you a tip, but I'm not tipping the federal government anymore of the money. And he said he wasn't allowed to accept tips personally. But somehow it's ok for the delivery drivers. I usually 2x to 5x the normal tip, depending on what it is unless it's an expensive gratuitiy. I've always been generous, but for just extra? Like giving a $20 to my detailer every few months? They gotta earn that. And the people I tip shouldn't have to be claiming it on taxes. Let the fat cats do that. Hell, the taxes in tips here probably wouldn't even fund a single missile for an F22. --- "Torture experiments. We're all monkeys." "They hurt you?" "Not as bad as what they're doing to the Easter Bunny." ... Copied to Clipboard! |
