I wouldnt say Melia is complicated Just throw Poison/Ice Boost Gems on her, and make sure she lets off her DoT after a bit of a streak in a Chain Attack and her poison will suddenly melt a quarter sized portion of the boss health bar every 3 seconds. Bonus points where talent arts are a wild card in chain combos, so it's super easy for her to get to that sweet, sweet 15x multiplier. Less bonus points where AI-controlled Melia is terrible, so you're really only ever going to have her be #1, 4, or 7 in a chain attack and getting the 15x bonus from a 5-chain takes some luck with chain links. I will say, I'd forgotten just how long it takes her poison/ice DoT's to show up. With expert mode turned on and generally trying to keep everyone roughly at level with the story enemies, I'm just starting Valak Mountain and I still don't have them. Other playthroughs, I've done so many side quests that I'm pretty sure Melia had her full kit (at least, the whole kit that matters) by now, but here I am with only Flare/Bolt to lean on. --- This is my signature.
