Patty Melt may also differ with creamy horse radish or Dijon mustard where I pick up, other than its unique structure already stated. The flavors from everything is a bit more sour than meaty since it adds rye, toasty goods against the cleaner tasting burger. Possible to add that a burger, yes, but generally is defined by a set preparation (wheat, raw vegetables) against another.
