We do not need a "domestic supply;" we need people to be smarter, wiser, and safer for it. Alas, we have what we do because of intellectually challenged members of multiple self-centered generations, and the result therein. :-/ The advantages of democracy as a political system all assume that you have an educated and informed voter base making rational and logical decisions. Unfortunately, we have neither.
