Topic	When did school kids start the clear backpacks?

It was on the other side of the high school no where near my classes. I must have been strange, because I never actually put books in my bookbag/backpack. I used it for my notebooks for each class, would go to my locker before first period to get books 1-3, then again after lunch to trade them for books 4-6. This might explain why my last bookbag, bought in 1994, is still almost entirely intact.
