There are people who won't be able to make that trip. There are people who, when forced to make that trip, will reconsider. Maybe not a lot, certainly not enough, but it is at least some measure. And then, if background checks and waiting periods are implemented nationwide, you add even more restrictions. This shooting is a tragedy and I'm in tears over it, but it's important to keep in mind that so many gun deaths in the states are crimes of passion as well, and reducing ease of access will reduce deaths.
