then it got dumber when some of the powers weren't even in the level and you had to import them from other levels

I needed a guide when I played it at the time and that killed it for me. Maybe its not as a pain in the ass as I remember but It just rubbed me the wrong way

Pretty much everything was just color coded or similar(I don't remember the exactly gimmick, just that it made the powers obvious). All the backtracking and stuff was easy mode due to that. Was a fun game but it didn't really feel properly rewarding to do all the things.
